Eye Care: Why This Delicate Area Deserves a Little Extra Love

I have been waiting for this one.
Temple Spa has launched a brand new eye serum called
Glass Act, and honestly, I am so pleased to finally have an eye serum in the range. Eye care is one of those little skincare steps that can make such a difference, especially when you understand why the eye area needs treating with a little more care.
The skin around the eyes is much thinner and more delicate than the rest of the face. It doesn’t have the same cushioning, and it is one of the first places to show tiredness, dryness, dehydration and signs of ageing.
Fine lines, puffiness, dark circles, crepiness, sensitivity and that slightly sore, irritated feeling can all show up here. And at this time of year, allergies and hayfever can make the whole area feel even more reactive. Rubbing the eyes, streaming eyes, pollen irritation and general sensitivity can leave the eye area looking and feeling tired, puffy and uncomfortable.
So, while eye care can sometimes feel like an optional extra, I do think it’s one of the most important parts of a skincare routine.
Why use separate eye products?
A good facial moisturiser is wonderful for the face, but the eye area often needs something more targeted.
Eye products are designed especially for this delicate skin, with lighter textures and ingredients that can help to hydrate, refresh, smooth, brighten or de-puff without feeling too heavy. This is why a complete eye care routine can be so beneficial.
A gentle eye make-up remover helps cleanse without rubbing or dragging. An eye serum gives a more concentrated, treatment-led boost. An eye cream or gel then helps to hydrate, comfort and protect the skin around the eyes.
And the way you apply them matters too. No dragging, rubbing or pulling. Just a tiny amount, gently patted around the orbital bone with your ring finger.
Think of it as treating the eye area with kindness.
Introducing Glass Act
Glass Act is Temple Spa’s brand new Eye Lifting Serum, and it is designed to cool, nourish, smooth, firm and brighten the eye area.
It has a beautiful memory gel texture, so it feels instantly refreshing. The formula includes ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides, marine exopolysaccharides, niacinamide, copper, zinc, magnesium and adaptogen root extract.
In simple terms, it is designed to help the eye area look smoother, brighter, firmer and more awake.
I love the idea of this because it fills a gap in the routine. We use serums on the face because they are more targeted and treatment-led, so it makes complete sense to have a serum specifically for the eyes too.
How to use Glass Act
You can use Glass Act in a few different ways.
Daily, apply a tiny amount around the eye area before your eye cream. I would use it underneath
Windows of the Soul
or
Eye Truffle, depending on what your skin needs.
You can also use it as more of a mask treatment. Apply a thicker layer around the eye area and leave it for around 20 minutes, perhaps while you have a face mask on. This is a lovely way to give tired, puffy or irritated eyes a bit of extra attention.
And for a quick refresh, you can gently pat a very small amount around the eye area during the day, even over make-up, to help smooth and revive tired-looking eyes.
The eye care offer
There is also a lovely Temple Spa eye care offer on at the moment.
The
Total Refresh Collection includes:
Glass Act
The new eye lifting serum to smooth, lift, firm and brighten.
Windows of the Soul
A lightweight hydrating eye treatment gel-cream to soothe, refresh and de-puff.
Easy on the Eye
A gentle eye make-up remover which removes the day without upsetting the delicate eye area.
The collection is currently
worth £113, saving £25, and you pay £88, which means
Easy on the Eye is included free.
It is a really good opportunity if you want to start looking after the eye area properly, or if your eyes are feeling tired, irritated, puffy or in need of a bit of sparkle.
Eye Care Discovery Evening
I am also planning a small
member-only Eye Care Discovery Evening on Thursday 25th June at 7pm for an hour, so you can experience the products for yourself, ask questions and discover what might suit your eyes best.
It will be a relaxed, informal little gathering with a chance to explore the new Glass Act serum, the current eye care collection and the best way to use each product at home.
If there is space, I may open this out to non-members too.
More details will follow, but if your eyes have been feeling tired, puffy, sore, sensitive or simply in need of some extra love, this might be the perfect little evening for you.
Love, Julia 🤍
