WATER: Drift. Soften. Repose.

September and October bring us to the third chapter of my Four Elements journey: WATER.
If AIR was about opening and FIRE was about warmth and radiance, WATER is about something softer.
It is about letting go.
About being supported.
About allowing yourself, just for a while, to stop holding everything together.
WATER has been inspired by the feeling of floating - that wonderful sense of weightlessness when the body is held and carried rather than having to do the work itself.
The whole experience has been created around that idea of drifting, softening and repose.
A slower rhythm
Both WATER rituals begin with time to arrive.
An aromatic mist fills the room before the feet are immersed in warm water. A sea salt ritual smooths the feet and lower legs, followed by warm water gently poured over the skin.
You are invited to notice the sound of the water, its warmth and movement, and to imagine the body becoming lighter - tension loosening its grip and simply drifting away.
Soft water sounds and gentle music continue throughout the treatment, creating a quiet backdrop for everything that follows.
Massage that moves like water
The heart of WATER is a long, flowing back-of-body massage.
Inspired by the continuous movements of Lomi Lomi, the massage works across the feet, legs, back, shoulders and arms using long, rhythmic strokes and gentle rocking.
There is less sense of one area ending and another beginning.
Instead, the movements flow into one another like waves, encouraging the body to feel supported, buoyant and deeply at ease.
Smooth seashells are incorporated sparingly into the ritual too - used through gentle massage and energy placement to bring warmth, stillness and another subtle connection to the sea.
The Waterfall Scalp Ritual
I also wanted WATER to include the element itself - but in a way that still feels luxurious rather than leaving you looking like you’ve accidentally fallen in the North Sea.
So I created the Waterfall Scalp Ritual.
Small, carefully controlled streams of warm water flow around the hairline and crown, followed by soothing scalp massage, gentle rocking and comforting warm towels.
The result is a wonderfully calming combination of sound, warmth, touch and water.
The Flowing Water Ritual | 2 hours
This is the purest expression of WATER.
A warm foot soak and sea salt ritual leads into the flowing back-of-body massage, subtle seashell work and the Waterfall Scalp Ritual.
It is perfect if what you need most is to switch off, soften and feel completely supported.
Floating. Flowing. Restorative.
The Deep Water Ritual | 3 hours
The longer ritual includes everything within The Flowing Water Ritual, then continues into a deeply nurturing face-up experience.
The skin is cleansed and refreshed before warm seashells glide across the face, neck and shoulders.
A hydrating facial massage and cooling eye ritual soothe tired skin and tired minds, before a rich moisturising veil is left to comfort and replenish.
By this point, the aim is very simple:
to have you floating somewhere between wakefulness and sleep.
Who is WATER for?
WATER is for anyone who feels as though they have been carrying too much.
For busy minds.
For tired bodies.
For those moments when you don’t necessarily need to be energised or invigorated - you just need permission to soften.
If FIRE invited you to glow, WATER invites you to drift.
To release some of the weight.
To trust the support beneath you.
And to let yourself be carried for a while.
The WATER rituals are available throughout September and October, with limited appointments as always.
If either one is calling to you, I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later.
Love, Julia 🤍
