The ultimate pedicure treatment – this is the must-have treatment for tired, neglected feet. All the pampering of the Ayurvedic foot ritual combined with the treatments of a fabulous pedicure: hard skin removal, exfoliation, nail shaping, cuticle work and your choice of finish with polish or buffing. Your feet will thank you.
AYURVEDIC FOOT RITUAL
Kansa Vatki is a wonderfully relaxing therapy which helps to balance body, mind and spirit. We begin with an aromatic soak, cleanse and scrub, before the feet and lower legs are encouraged to relax through the application of massage techniques carried out with the aid of specially blended spice-based oils. The treatment continues with special movements performed with a small 3-metal kansa Vatki bowl and Marma massage to specific acupressure points. The ceremony concludes with a nurturing mask for the ‘souls’ of your feet.
Individually tailored to you and your needs, reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the soles, tops, and sides of the feet correspond to different areas of the body. In this way, the feet are seen as a ‘map’ of the body, by stimulating these reflexes the aim of a treatment is to restore balance to the body naturally and improve general well-being. As well as being incredibly relaxing, it may also ease conditions such as digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, respiratory issues and more. Please allow extra time for consultation.
THAI FOOT AND LOWER LEG MASSAGE
Originating about 2,000 years ago, Thai foot massage involves hands-on stretching, massage, stimulating reflex points and following the energy lines, ‘sen’. It includes the use of a traditional Thai massage stick as well as using the palms, fingers, thumbs and knuckles to work the feet. These techniques are great for tired feet, improving circulation and lymph movement in the feet and lower legs, and improving flexibility, enhanced by the stimulating and uplifting properties of the kaffir lime and ginger oil.
